February Photo Challenge
Photo: C. Wohlsperger
Sanna (sirkussanna.blogspot.com) and I (aarhusrevisited.tumblr.com) were inspired by fat mum slim (http://www.fatmumslim.com.au/2012/01/february-photo-day-challenge.html) to do February's photo challenge (mind me I like brackets).
Day I: Your View Today.
Day I: Your View Today.
Day II: Words
Photo: C. Wohlsperger
The 'words' challenge hit me right in the face, so to speak. Having to spend an afternoon in the library reading about Data Collection and...Quota Sampling.
Day III: Hands
Photo: C. Wohlsperger
Yesterday I read an article about how our hands are deteriorating and we should all learn to play the piano (newcriterion.com).
But we're students, we can't learn everything at once. There are keyboards enough for us.

Day IV: A Stranger

Having to take a photograph of a stranger got me wondering about what exactly a stranger is and how I would start talking to one. 'Just go out and do it' seemed like the best idea, but I ended up walking quite a while before I found the guts to ask someone. Obviously, at -9°C, most people are happy to make their way inside as fast as they can, and I myself was quite happy with my hands in my pocket. But that didn't get me anywhere. In the end, I took a picture of this girl while she waited in front of the cash machine.
Day V: 10 am
Photo: C. Wohlsperger
How do you take pictures of the time? I was thinking of a screen shot of my laptop first, to show what I'm doing at exactly 10 am. Then I tried taking a picture of our espresso-machine that started rattling shortly afterwards, but since we had a house dinner yesterday, the stove didn't look very representative. So breakfast. It's Sunday, after all.
Day VI: Dinner
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I like cooking. Really. I do. Just not today.
Day VII: Buttons
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I found a lot of buttons at the studio of Aarhus Student Radio, where we produce our weekly show Accents Weekly.
Day VIII: the Sun
photo: C. Wohlsperger
It's February and the sun was nowhere to be found today. The Danish School of Journalism, which is also very gray, had hung up this painting though, and it brightened up the place a lot too.
Day IX: Front Door
photo: C. Wohlsperger
obviously this is not the front door to our apartment. But at least the door to my own realm.
Day X: Self Portrait
photo: C. Wohlsperger
Day XI: Makes Me Happy
photo: C. Wohlsperger
little things.
Day XII: Inside your Closet

Day XIII: Blue

Day XIV: Heart
photo: C. Wohlsperger
that was Valentine's Day. There were hearts all over.
Day XV: Phone
photo: C. Wohlsperger
sometimes I wish I had a landline phone.
Day XVI: Something New
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I came down with a flu. The doctor said I should take Panodil and wait until it's over. Now I know what Panodil is.
Day XVII: Time
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I got myself extension tubes for my canon lens, but I barely ever use them. But they're so much fun!
Day XVIII: Drink
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I was a little uncreative on this one, but that was what was standing around on my desk anyways.
Day XIV: Something You Hate To Do
photo: C. Wohlsperger
That was fairly easy.
Day XX: Handwriting
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I do use a calendar on my laptop, but I also like keeping a paper one!
Day XXI: A Fave Photo
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I know it's playing around and silly, but I really like the "miniature" function my camera has. This is Hamburg Central Station.
Day XXII: Where You Work
photo: C. Wohlsperger
Day XXIII: Your Shoes
photo: C. Wohlsperger
I don't really have a closet (see Day XII) so I store my non-winter shoes in my suitcase.
Day XXIV: the Bathroom Cabinet
photo: C. Wohlsperger
Day XXV: Green
photo: C. Wohlsperger
that beloved fuzzy carpet that for some reason, a whole lot of people here have. One possibility: It's so soft and fuzzy!
Day XXVI: Night
our house is rather quiet usually, also due to a warning most of us already have (a second warning would mean we have to move out). So we don't exactly throw great parties. This week lifted the house spirits a bit when we had a fabulous Bloody Mary evening on Friday. Yesterday, when I came downstairs, our kitchen was crammed with people :)
Day XXVII: Something You Ate
Spaghetti with Chicken Bolognese with Sanna and Liselott and Sergio and Michael.
Day XXVIII: Money
rare commodity.
Day XXIX: Something You're Listening To
everything.
